Upgrade and retrofit of your wastewater plant?

The Construction of a Wastewater Treatment Plant on the Agenda?

LPC

EPAS Coordinates

Although EPAS does not construct your installation, we can coordinate the whole process. The consultancy department of EPAS will map out the most suitable treatment technology, based on independent scientific research and completely free of any commercial interest.

The engineering department of EPAS will further guide you through the realisation of the system. A process technical design package is the integrated service that is provided. These are the steps we take:

1.Performing a technical audit of your system
2.Proposing a maintenance shedule
3.Identifying the actions to replace old components

New Installation

When a new installation is required, EPAS takes these steps:

1. Concept Engineering

Based on our experience, audits and/or research, EPAS can work out the technological concept of your wastewater treatment plant. This is translated in a Process Flow Diagram, which draws the different steps of the treatment, with its major characteristics (volums, flow rates, setpoints). Finally all information is collected in a detailed tender specification.

2. Basic Engineering

The concept of the plant is translated into a P&ID (Process and Instrumentation diagram) with indication of all essential actuators and instrumentation (process instruments: pumps, valves, ...).

In addition, a situation map with the major dimensions of the plant is made. A technical description of the major characteristics of the equipment (capacity, pressure, flow rate, material) is given together with a budget estimation.

3. Evaluation of Quotations

EPAS can evaluate different offers of suppliers of treatment plants in an independent way. EPAS will highlight the strong and weak points of each offer end ensure that the final concept matches your needs.

4. Start up and field monitoring of full-scale plants

Once the construction phase has finished, the biological start up starts. As many have noticed, building is different from biology. During start-up, the biology is more sensitive to disturbances and required a good follow up.

Whenever the follow up does not go the way it should, EPAS can provide on site assistance to ensure the right operational changes and a swift start-up. Once the start-up is finished, EPAS can provide a continuous operational assistance for the treatment plant.
